I wanted to show some of the beautiful little people that I photograph on a daily basis. I love these close ups of their faces and eyes.

The topic this month if nostalgia. As many of you know, I am a birth photographer here in Tampa Bay. I have a particular expertise in this field of putting my birth photography and movie clips set to music in a video. This has proven to be something that is priceless to parents.
Birth photography is a beautiful thing. Add in movie clips of babies heart beat while still in the womb, and the babies first cry…put this with a memorable song and you have parents, family, friends and even strangers watching this video in a bubblery crying mess. I can’t tell a lie. I love when people are crying happy tears to my photos and videos. It means I was able to evoke emotion and thats what its all about! Capturing the babies first moments into the world and changing their parents hearts forever.

Since I am a Maternity, Birth and Newborn Photography here in Tampa. This month I have decided to hone the topic of “Shadows” in on Newborns.
Typically I really enjoy photographing my newborns with lots of Natural Light and a hint of Studio Lighting. I had some time to play around with this particular newborn in my studio so I decided to create some more contrast and emphasis the shadows.
I loved how it turned out. I may need to start adding a few more to my Newborn Galleries in the future.

Our next series in our Twelve by Twelve Project is the topic of “Laughter”. Sometimes the most fun a person can have results in a big belly laugh. The kind that makes your stomach hurt from a joke or something you saw. Laughter comes in many shapes and forms. Whether it be a big belly laugh or from small conversation with your husband, family member or best friend.
My laughter this month is about the joy ones have over Gender Reveal Parties. I’ve been present as a guest and a Tampa photographer at many Gender Reveal Parties over the last few years and its always electric with excitement and anticipation. It’s really neat to step back and notice how people are literally waiting for the big moment to reveal whether its a Boy or Girl. We all know each guest has their own prediction, they might even be wearing the color of what they hope or think the gender will be. But we all know that no matter what, they’ll be just as happy with their prediction being wrong as long as it’s a healthy baby boy or girl.

Miss Cecelia is a bright little newborn. She was born when fireworks were all throughout the sky here in Westchase. She visited me 8 days after her birth here in my Westchase Photography Studio on July 4th.
Mom brought two very special items with her that she knew would make the images even more important than they already were. This mint bonnet and her white, rhinestone sash that she wore at her wedding to Miss Cecelia’s Daddy.
Mom and I spoke about her room colors before they came to be photographed. Her room is beautiful with Mint, Purple, Gold and Peach. Miss Cecelia slept for the majority of her session but she enjoyed seeing what was going on just as much.
