As you can see, I absolutely adore photographing newborns!
I always suggest getting newborn photographs within the first five to ten days after the birth of your child. I know its a hectic moment for parents and probably the last thing you want to do is leave your house but its very important to consider why I take photos within those first ten days of life. Those early days of your newborn’s life are life changing. By scheduling your newborn photography session in those first ten days, I am able to capture all the feelings and emotions that you and your newborn are going through.
Newborns change a lot within just the first two weeks, more than you realize. Getting your newborn photographs captured as soon as possible ensures that I capture that newborn look and all those special moments. Newborns have a natural curl to them when they’re born and each day, they naturally start to uncurl, taking away that “fresh” look.
On your session day, I’ll capture photographs of just your newborn and all his/her adorable features including eyes, mouth, nose, feet, hands. As well as images of your newborn with you, your partner and sibling as well.
Just think about how beautiful and unique a photo of your first child with your second newborn will look hanging on your wall in your living room. It tugs at your heart strings and makes you feel happy no matter how stressful or rough your day was.
You can’t forget how beautiful and special your first family photograph with your newborn will be. I’ve had Momma’s not want to take photos because they didn’t feel pretty but have seen them cry when they first see the photos of them with their newborn. Each momma was so happy I talked them into doing them because they are beautiful and now they have proof of how in love they were with their newborn that morning.
