  • Are you ready for some football!?

    Lately, I feel like I’ve been watching football ALL of the time. I’ve been making a serious effort to watch more football with Chris. He loves it and since last football season (he spent in New Zealand) he wasn’t able to watch any football….so lets say he’s making up for it. We headed over to our friends house for Sunday night football + games.

    Little Scarlett stole the night though, I think we watched her more than the game. She’s just too cute. Look at those bright blue eyes! <3

    Brittany (our hostess, with the mostest) made us a Nacho Dip that was to die for. I really was trying to watch what I eat…Well I definitely watched it..as I ate it. 🙂 YUMMY

    {No worries, little Scarlett wasn’t drinking that beer, she was just trying to pick it up..empty}

  • First NFL Experience {Bucs Vs. Colts}

    I finally went to my first NFL game. (Even though I live in Tampa and have the Raymond James Stadium) Chris and I went to the Bucs vs Colts game. I’m a HUGE NHL fan but I will say that the NFL game I went to, is NOT as exciting as NHL games. I was surprised how much they stand around. I had no idea they wait around for commercials like that. But I guess it makes sense. So in the NHL you get to see atleast one fight a game usually. I didn’t think I’d see anything in the NFL game, well I didnt. BUT I did see one of the Colts players get hurt and not that it was exciting, but it was very, very gross. Something viewers on TV did not get to see. EWW

    I wanted to share my photos from the game.

    How cool is this below?! Wish we were sitting on the other side….

  • Visiting Charlottesville, Virginia

    One day last month, Chris & I drove from Richmond over to Charlottesville to spend the day looking around. I hadn’t been to Charlottesville in 9 years but I had to see it again because of the beauty of it. Charlottesville is a small town about an hour west of Richmond. Its home to University of Virginia students and homes many Wineries and Cideries.

  • Do you wear white after Labor Day?

    I decided to write about this little tradition simply because well, its Labor Day. Growing up in Virginia, you just did NOT wear white after Labor Day. It was a fashion don’t. Interesting enough, living in Florida- the rules are different. Its sunny all year around, so why not wear white. It doesnt really apply living there in my opinion since it is sunny but thats just my opinion. So maybe it just depends on where you live…but who really should tell you what you can and cant wear?

    If you would like to see where the no white after Labor day rule came from. Check out this link below:

  • Downtown Richmond Area

    A few days ago, I went to downtown Richmond with Chris to check out some Richmond favorite local spots. Among them were Canal Street, Cary Street and Pipeline, which is all adjacent to the James River. We spent a few hours roaming around the area. Chris was kind enough and VERY willing to do a little “modeling” for me. You could even say, he was even a little excited about his big debute. 🙂

    The camera was turned on me for a little bit while he tried his hand at photography. He loved his pictures and I have to admit, he got some unique shots! We even managed to get some photos together. It took some time running back and forth before the timer went off, but even so, it was a lot of fun.

    There were a bunch of people around enjoying their day in the sun. I will share those pictures as well as more of the surrounding area in another blog on another day.

    As always, thank you for following my blog. We hope to venture out to more areas later this week, so check back for more on the local area of Richmond!
