    Today I somehow coaxed Chris {my sweet fiancé} into going to the Tampa Bridal Expo with me. hehe! We had a little fun and stopped in at the Photo Booths. {As you can see above}

    We ALSO won a FREE engagement session from one of the photographers there! We’re super excited to see what they can come up with!!! I want something different..I need a fresh perspective. CANNOT WAIT!!! I actually get to be on the other side of the camera 🙂 This is one excited Bride!

  • {Something Pretty}

    Since I’ve been planning my own wedding, of course I come across many ideas for EVERYTHING WEDDING! I am absolutely in love with creating your own style and “Do It Yourself” items. I absolutely LOVE this custom calligraphy rubber stamps. This particular one is from primele

    Enjoy!!

  • Save the Dates- Do It Yourself

    I found these cute vintage Save the Date cards from The Wedding Chicks website. I wasn’t going to send out Save the Dates because we don’t have tons of time before our wedding but when I came across this site and these cards. I just had to have them! Another Do It Yourself wedding item!!!

    My fiancé and I couldn’t decide which photo to send out to our friends and family so he had a great idea to pick 5 of our favorite and send them out randomly and use them as sort of “trading cards”. Not sure how much they’ll go for but we’ll see how this works out!! 🙂 haha

    There are a few that we picked!

  • I’m Engaged!!!

    I’m Engaged!!!

    Yesterday morning we drove out to Lakeland so Chris’ bike could be serviced. We came back into Tampa and drove out to New Port Richey, where my surprise date was taking place.

    We get to an marina and he tells me he’s taking me sailing! {I’ve never been on a sailboat!!!} We meet Captain Dave and off we go into the channel. It takes about 30 minutes to get out of the channel, our Captain tells us. So we relaxed up on the front, cozied up to one another because it was a little chilly. Chris put on his iPod – The Cave Singers were playing on our way out to the ocean. Chris starts telling me about the Sushi Dinner they have prepared for us. {I’m totally stunned that he has all of this prepared for us!!}

    We ate our Sushi together at the front of the boat. At this point, its gotten pretty windy! So we are laughing about the soy sauce from our sushi getting on us. Oh well, it was still perfect!

    As they sun starts to go down we are talking about whether or not we’ll see the sunset It was pretty grey outside during the day so we weren’t sure. We see an island far ahead of us {Chris jokes with me that its Mexico} We get up to the island and we are drifting along side of it when Chris goes to give the Captain our camera {you know me, I was already taking a lot of photos!} and he changes the music because its already gone through the playlist. One song plays and the next one comes on. I looked at him and said “hey I know this song!” {I couldn’t think of the name or realize what it was because my memory is THAT terrible} He says “Ya its our song” {to give you an idea, Chris and I had been trying to find OUR song for a little bit and we had come across this song but hadn’t settled on it because Chris wasn’t positive on it yet..or so I thought} So i was happy that we finally had a song that we could slow dance to and he says “Hey lets take our picture.” So we get up and take the picture and Chris turns to me and says “sooo” and I immediately got a HUGE smile on my face and he stops and says “What?”. I said “nothing, nothing keep going!” haha Chris proceeds to talk about our time spent together in New Zealand {and possibly some more, but it was such a whirlwind i can’t remember everything!} He gets down on one knee and pulls the ring out of his pocket and says “Will you marry me?” I was still smiling so big, said YES!, he put the ring on my finger and then I started to ball my eyes out, crying. He got up and gave me a hug and we kept hugging and I was still crying. And he said “Are you gonna look at it?”. Thats when I looked at the MOST gorgeous ring!!!!!!!

    I haven’t stopped smiling since 🙂

  • Downtown Richmond Part 2

    I said I’d come back to the venture we had into downtown Richmond, Virginia. Although it took me a bit because of covering other material. So here we go…

    Richmond is famous for Artsy and Athletic types of people. They’re a lot of fun and are always busy! Below are some photos of Pipeline where ones come out to board the rapids, do some white water rafting and bathe in the sun. {And in our case, photograph the beauty of it all}
