  • Vendor Meals

In this post, I am going to share my thoughts and a few tips regarding feeding your photographers. Many clients may oversee their vendors meals simply because they didn’t think of it. Most of the time, they didn’t even know to feed their vendors till their venue included it in their package.

Ask your photographer how many people will be on the team for your wedding. One vendor meal per person.

A lot of vendors will work from early in the morning till about 10 or 11 pm at night. Usually we provide lunch for ourselves but dinner is a lot more difficult to get away. We love a quick little meal to keep us on our toes. The meals usually should be served shortly after the Bride and Groom are served. This way we can quickly eat and be back up and taking care of things. Vendors will usually eat in a separate room so that we can let you enjoy your dinner. As for photographers, you won’t want us taking your picture with a mouth full of food anyway, and you certainly want to enjoy your dinner in peace.

Remember your venue will ask you how many vendor meals you will need. Usually each vendor will include a clause about providing vendor meals for each member on their team. One thing you could do to ensure that your photographers won’t miss any events at your reception, is to ask the catering or venue manager to serve them at the beginning of the meal nearby the reception hall.

If you have any questions, speak to your vendor.

  • Visiting Charlottesville, Virginia

One day last month, Chris & I drove from Richmond over to Charlottesville to spend the day looking around. I hadn’t been to Charlottesville in 9 years but I had to see it again because of the beauty of it. Charlottesville is a small town about an hour west of Richmond. Its home to University of Virginia students and homes many Wineries and Cideries.

  • {McGreal Family} Tampa Family Photographer

Jeremy and Kim are kind people and I was so happy to hear from Kim again regarding family photos. I photographed Kim’s maternity session when she was expecting Ashton. He’s now 6 months old! He is such a happy little boy and so adorable when you grab some keys and jingle them. Jeremy, Kim, Austin and Ashton were lively and exciting to be around. Austin was so happy to be around the train tracks, he wanted to keep going back to them. It was truly a blessing to have the opportunity to capture memories for their beautiful family again.

    I can’t wait for Ashton’s 1 Year!! 🙂

  • Jonathan + Rayna {Virginia Beach Private Residence} Virginia Wedding Photographer

I was so excited when Rayna contacted me for her wedding! Rayna and I had grown up around each other although not really running into each other very often. I was so happy to be able to share in her special day. We have grown to be great friends through her wedding process and wedding day.

Jonathan and Rayna were married at a private ceremony on Virginia Beach.

The wedding day started with private time with her two best girls, Emily and Mandy helping her get ready for her big day. Rayna did her own hair since she’s an Aveda stylist. Look how beautiful she looked!! The flowers were in shades of white and green. Shades of grey were the wedding color.

The couple’s reception was held at a private beach house in Virginia Beach decorated with handmade decor (by Rayna and her bridesmaids) and lanterns.  Paper Flowers hung from the ceiling. The DJ was Josh, a close family friend and the wedding cupcakes were from Sams Club.  The cupcakes were DELICIOUS!!! The food included pulled pork sandwiches, popeyes chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese, etc..

Thanks so much to Jonathan and Rayna for having me join you to capture the memories of such a special day!  I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
