  • Downtown Richmond Part 2

    I said I’d come back to the venture we had into downtown Richmond, Virginia. Although it took me a bit because of covering other material. So here we go…

    Richmond is famous for Artsy and Athletic types of people. They’re a lot of fun and are always busy! Below are some photos of Pipeline where ones come out to board the rapids, do some white water rafting and bathe in the sun. {And in our case, photograph the beauty of it all}

  • Beautiful Buildings

    image

    While visiting a friends house today for the first time, we came across this High School. Its absolutely beautiful and has a lot of history behind it in Tampa. I thought Id post a picture I took on my phone and later Ill post some history facts about it. ENJOY!

  • Are you ready for some football!?

    Lately, I feel like I’ve been watching football ALL of the time. I’ve been making a serious effort to watch more football with Chris. He loves it and since last football season (he spent in New Zealand) he wasn’t able to watch any football….so lets say he’s making up for it. We headed over to our friends house for Sunday night football + games.

    Little Scarlett stole the night though, I think we watched her more than the game. She’s just too cute. Look at those bright blue eyes! <3

    Brittany (our hostess, with the mostest) made us a Nacho Dip that was to die for. I really was trying to watch what I eat…Well I definitely watched it..as I ate it. 🙂 YUMMY

    {No worries, little Scarlett wasn’t drinking that beer, she was just trying to pick it up..empty}

  • Wedding Timeline

    Its a good idea to think of a timeline for your wedding well in advance of your wedding day. If you don’t have a timeline, vendors are lost and you can lose track of time and before you know it, most of your guests have left and you havent cut the cake or pulled out the sparklers.

    The timeline I will provide is just a SUGGESTED timeline to use, of course you can alter it to fit your needs because it is your wedding day and what may work for you may not work for other brides.

    Ceremony Timeline:

    3:00 – bride & groom’s first look + portraits
    3:30 – bridal party portraits  (if there is no first look, then portraits of either side of bridal party)
    4:00 – family portraits
    4:30 – bridal party freshens make up and hair
    5:00 – ceremony
    5:30 – cocktail hour (if you do your portraits before the ceremony you can enjoy your cocktail hour with your guests or take a few more portraits; if not allow an hour for final portraits)
    6:30 – guests are guided to reception hall

    Reception Timeline:
    6:45 – bridal party entrance + first dance
    7:00 – dinner (allow your guests to eat for about 45 minutes so they may enjoy the food)
    7:45 – father/ daughter dance, mother/son dance
    8:00 – open dancing
    9:00 – cake cutting + more open dancing (cake cutting at this time allows for older ones to wrap up their day but still enjoy the cake)

    Think ahead of time if you’d like more photos of you and your bridal party getting ready or reception photos. Make sure to plan in time for hair, make-up, eating lunch, transportation, getting into your dress (about 30 minutes) and hang-out time. It’s better to plan in more time than not enough. Usually each thing takes longer than you expect and you also need to leave room for the unexpected. So make sure you start early! Giving more time also allows you to do  more with your bridesmaids and mother to enjoy your day. It goes fast so you’ll want to be able to breath and take in whats about to happen. This also allows for us to get some great photos of the emotions of the day.

  • First NFL Experience {Bucs Vs. Colts}

    I finally went to my first NFL game. (Even though I live in Tampa and have the Raymond James Stadium) Chris and I went to the Bucs vs Colts game. I’m a HUGE NHL fan but I will say that the NFL game I went to, is NOT as exciting as NHL games. I was surprised how much they stand around. I had no idea they wait around for commercials like that. But I guess it makes sense. So in the NHL you get to see atleast one fight a game usually. I didn’t think I’d see anything in the NFL game, well I didnt. BUT I did see one of the Colts players get hurt and not that it was exciting, but it was very, very gross. Something viewers on TV did not get to see. EWW

    I wanted to share my photos from the game.

    How cool is this below?! Wish we were sitting on the other side….
