Tampa’s Where my Heart Is -Neighborhood Photographer

Our second series in our Twelve by Twelve Project is the topic “Home is Where the Heart Is.”

Chris and I have been looking at purchasing a new home either in the Tampa or Palm Harbor area so this topic was perfect for me this month. We truly want to make our first home a place of comfort, to make it our own. We have a few “must have’s” that we require. One, being a pool because I LOVE to relax and sun next to the water. I grew up with a pool and the last three years of not having even a community pool has been torture. I don’t always have the time to pack up and go to the beach so to be able to go in my backyard and relieve some stress for 30 minutes will more than suffice.Photo of loft on second floor

Another must have, is to have a bigger, better, well lit Tampa Bay studio room for Ashley Yvonne Photography. I’ve outgrown my current home-based studio and have been dreaming of a difference space, including a giant over-sized window or french doors to let in the yummy light for my Tampa Newborn Photography.Cream vanilla sink

I love the idea of an open kitchen with eat in kitchen island and a beautiful, rustic farm house table in my very own dining room.White sink black granite

Our fur-babies need a fenced in backyard to run around in. Right now, we have a massive yard so we definitely would like to have something comparable so that they feel at home themselves. When we open the door, they bolt for the door and runs circles around the yard!New fence

Comfort for me is in a palette of whites, greys and soft blue/greens with lots of pillows, tons of light and open rooms. Check out my Pinterest board on “Our New Home”. There must be a few hundred ideas.Palm leaves in skyPhoto of window light

And great news….we close on our very first home March 10th!! These photos are from our new home before the big move!
