Brandon + Laura {Montpelier Center, VA} Virginia Wedding Photographer
Brandon and Laura’s Wedding ceremony took place July 30th in the small town of Ashland, VA at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The reception took place in Montpelier at the Montpelier Center.
It was a beautiful day. A little humid but it allowed us some time to go out for a short time to get some beautiful pictures of Brandon & Laura at a little white house on the property of the Montpelier Center. The wedding was beautiful and the dance floor had plenty of friends and family dancing the day away.
Congratulations you two!

Picking Your Wedding Palette
As a little girls, usually you can picture your wedding, the colors, the people, the dress. What did you see when you were a little girl? What do you see now? One of the very first things you will do as a bride, is choose your wedding colors. There are many ways to do this: What is your favorite color? What colors inspire you?
Whatever you decide, will look wonderful. Look at photos of other weddings. Pinterest is a great source for inspiration. I know I personally pin everything in sight as well as my photographs of weddings I have taken. Look at these and see what stands out to you. Do you picture yourself standing in your dress in the middle of these wonderful array of colors?
Once you pick your colors, then everything else seems to fall right into place. As far as flowers, look up which flowers are in season because different flowers can be difficult to get out of season. (This also helps with budget)

Fleeting Wedding Details

FLEETING WEDDING DETAILS
With the snap of a shutter, a camera captures a single moment in time, one that can never occur again in the exact same way.
At any given wedding, there are an infinite number of these moments that pass into time. Some hold in place for longer than others; some come and go in the blink of an eye.
It is with fleeting details as such, that some wedding photojournalists earn their keep. With an eye honed through years of visual training and practice, they constantly scan the wedding scene, as if looking for that close-focus moment that is sure to pop up next.
It is a skill that is often repeated, though possibly overlooked or underappreciated, since it is second nature to photographers with an eye for details.
