Every month a group of 12 photographers post about a specific topic related to our field of expertise. The topic this month is “Celebrate.” This happens to be the last Twelve by Twelve Project for the year and came at the perfect time.

We are celebrating a fantastic, busy, fun business year! Ashley Yvonne Photography has been proud to be a choice for many Tampa Bay Families for their Maternity, Birth and Newborn Images. The 2015 year, we flourished! We are looking forward to an even busier year in 2016. We are already booking Summer 2016 Newborns so be sure to give me a call soon to get on the calendar.

In case you haven’t been following our Twelve by Twelve Project, every month a group of 12 photographers post about a specific topic related to our field of expertise. Since I am a Maternity, Birth and Newborn Photography here in Tampa. This month I have decided to hone the topic of “Shadows” in on Newborns.

Typically I really enjoy photographing my newborns with lots of Natural Light and a hint of Studio Lighting. I had some time to play around with this particular newborn in my studio so I decided to create some more contrast and emphasis the shadows.

I loved how it turned out. I may need to start adding a few more to my Newborn Galleries in the future.

Our next series in our Twelve by Twelve Project is the topic of “Laughter”. Sometimes the most fun a person can have results in a big belly laugh. The kind that makes your stomach hurt from a joke or something you saw. Laughter comes in many shapes and forms. Whether it be a big belly laugh or from small conversation with your husband, family member or best friend.

My laughter this month is about the joy ones have over Gender Reveal Parties. I’ve been present as a guest and a Tampa photographer at many Gender Reveal Parties over the last few years and its always electric with excitement and anticipation. It’s really neat to step back and notice how people are literally waiting for the big moment to reveal whether its a Boy or Girl. We all know each guest has their own prediction, they might even be wearing the color of what they hope or think the gender will be. But we all know that no matter what, they’ll be just as happy with their prediction being wrong as long as it’s a healthy baby boy or girl.

Our fourth series in our Twelve by Twelve Project is the topic of “Favorite Color”.

I have an obvious color that is my favorite but I didn’t want this topic to be as obvious as that. My husband and I recently had professional photos taken during our trip to Lisbon, Portugal last November.

Before our trip I did a lot of research and spoke to many different photographers. We decided to go with a duo couple that owns Love Is My Favorite Color Photography. I cannot tell a lie, I did fall in love with their name before I really got to see their work or know them as a couple.
