Newborn baby photography is one of my favorite subjects. I have a chance to help document a new little person’s life. The little fingers and toes, and soft rosy skin give a great combination to create a distinct baby portrait that you will cherish forever. I love being able to give the gift of pictures that will document your baby from day one, to pushing up, to sitting, and crawing to standing. All of it deserves to be captured forever in baby portraits.

I appreciate that not everybody can come out to visit a professional photographer with a newborn baby photography. But now you can have a studio quality baby photography session in the comfort of your own house,  the image you see here were shot in a small corner of a customers house.

Why do I photograph in your house?  Because your baby is in an environment that they are familiar with which makes it much less stressful for everybody involved. It also means you are a lot more relaxed as you do not have to rush around trying to get them ready for an appointment.  I developed this service based on feedback from parents who used me as a baby photographer in my studio, especially first time ones. They wanted high quality artistic baby photography  whilst their children were at the baby stage but found the process of booking into a studio too difficult.

I’ll come along to your house and set up a mini studio. I prefer to use natural light wherever possible as its much gentler on your babies eyes plus it gives a much nicer result. I don’t need a huge amount of space but do need it clutter free and close to a window.

For the newborn baby photo session I will work at your little one’s pace (and yours). Its best to capture newborn photos within the first two weeks after birth. The sessions are never timed. Please be prepared to spend between 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, changing and swaddling the newborn.
